Biography
Through the energetic and pulsating rhythm of the drums, Daniel Gomez’s sharp destiny was embraced at the tender age of 7. His parents assisting him in the grip of that call, purchased Daniel's first set of drums through which he has been able to develop his skills, through self discovery and attending concerts that made him today a great contribution in the gospel, jazz, classic and pop genres in the Nation of Canada and beyond.
The versatility of his talents has exposed him to great musical talents whom he played and continue to participate in several projects; Paulis Sanchez, Londa Larmond, Cheryl James & Vow, Robert Chambers, C.D.H Live, just to name a few. Through his keen ears, delight for specific sounds, and perseverance in shaping his craft, Daniel has been granted the opportunity to play for Montreal Jazz Festival at the age of 18, and Beaches Jazz Festival the year after. As well as many nationwide drums competitions and concerts, which have been a strong stepping stone in his career, not to mention as well as journey in life.
Today, Daniel Gomez is always on the go. With several projects such as the musical play, My Brothers’ keeper and weekly performances at Rhema Christian Ministries, a ministry in which Daniel has been playing since 13 years old, with several services, for both English as well as Spanish congregants. Daniel keeps increasing his taste for drums and variety of sound.He also provides drums clinics at several locations within the Grand Toronto Area.
